I woke up this morning and I could see, blink, and think but my whole body was paralyzed, HELP!!?

I was taking pain killers prescribed by a doctor at night I would have horrible nightmares I tired to turn on the light in my room but I was paralyzed my heart started racing harder when all of a sudden I awoke. The next night I had another bad dream where I heard a growl of some kind of a monster in the next room. I stopped taking the pills and the nightmares went away.
