Would your rather read about superheroes or werewolves?

I want to write a fantasy series with an inhuman protagonist. Currently I'm stuck between superheroes and werewolves. I like werewolves because though they've been used a lot in some fiction recently, I think there is still more room for them out there. If I used werewolves I would not have paranormal romance or vampires included. I also love superheroes or mutants or whatever you wish to call them. But I've been told that superheroes are written for comic books because it is too difficult to write about someone shooting lasers out of their eyes or blasting people with energy from their hands in battle scenes. With superheroes I can make each character's power unique but with werewolves everyone has the same ability. Should I use werewolves or superheroes or just make my werewolves have some other unique powers besides transformation?
