I am an Amercian and I hate the US, is that OK?

Yep... it's ok. That is one thing about the US - you can hate it, and you can protest, and you can still remain a citizen. Not the case everywhere. I get really frustrated by many things in our history and our current political policies. If you are like me though you will get outraged by what you learn and then get more informed. I began to see that there is no perfect country. I've lived in the Middle East and traveled to various countries around the world and it's made me quite appreciative of the things that are good about the US. People want to think of things as either all good or all bad and things just are not that simple. Either leave for greener pastures, or stick around and be a voice for positive change.
